We work with a maximum of 500 students each year across all of our Programmes to ensure we can provide the best support suited for their particular needs. We also abide by a selective criteria to the students that we work with. Our Programmes have a structured syllabus, however, we tweak elements of the syllabus so the student is able to gain the most out of our support.

Application Support

Firstly we will help you make the right decision regarding course and University choice.

Whether this is through a meeting with our Academic Director or by arranging sessions with tutors from Oxford and/or Cambridge in your considered subject areas. We will help you come to an informed conclusion on one of the most important decisions you will ever make.

You will receive a full introduction to your Programme by your Programme Manager, along with your tutor, Form Mentor and our Academic Director. Throughout your time with us, they will be here to help.

1-1 HAT Tutoring

Your one-to-one tuition sessions are the key to your HAT Programme and will allow you to develop your skills and knowledge with the guidance of an expert Oxford tutor.

In each session, you will have full control of your learning enabling you to concentrate on the areas where you require the most aid. All of our tutors are well-versed in the HAT and can offer you comprehensive support to improve your skills and help you get a great score.

Honed in one-to-one support with your expert HAT tutor – all with homework and reports.

Comprehensive HAT Materials

Your HAT Programme will grant you access to a collection of useful resources that will support you during your preparation, including mock papers, textbooks and our exclusive UniAdmissions History Reading List.

Also included in your programme is access to the exclusive HAT Academy, which offers a large selection of in-depth video tutorials covering all aspects of the test.

Finely-tuned HAT resources in a range of mediums to help you practice and learn for your exam.

Humanities Enrichment Seminars

We have designed exclusive Enrichment Seminars to aid our students in exploring their subject in-depth and discovering topics beyond the standard curriculum.

In these seminars, a proficient tutor will lead you through a particular topic, motivating you to conduct further research and broaden your reading. This will enhance your profile and distinguish you from the competition to the Oxford admissions team in your Personal Statement and Interview.

Develop a deeper understanding of your subject and go beyond your curriculum, as you would at Oxford.

Forms Group & Mentoring

UniAdmissions students are each assigned to a form group that provides supplementary assistance. The group is led by a Form Mentor who conducts fortnightly group sessions offering guidance on general aspects of the application process.

In addition, you have the opportunity to schedule an unlimited number of one-on-one sessions with your Form Mentor for additional support and advice on any challenging areas throughout the programme.

You’ll join your Humanities Academic Head’s form group for guidance and unlimited mentoring sessions.

Personalised Portal

All components of your programme, such as tuition booking and resources, are housed within your personalised UniAdmissions Portal, making everything as easy to access as possible.

As a student, this is your Programme hub. As a parent, you can track your child’s progress through the Programme and receive regular reports.

You’ll get access upon enrolment to a Programme.

A personalised online platform which will guide you through your Programme as a student, or help you track your child’s progress as a parent.

What's the difference between the HAT Tutoring Programme and the Oxbridge History Programme?

The HAT Tutoring Programme focuses entirely on preparation for the HAT exam. This entails one-to-one tuition, HAT resources and more. This Programme is designed for students who are highly confident will all other areas of their application, such as the Personal Statement and interview.

Our Oxbridge History Programme is a more comprehensive Programme of support which includes preparation for the Personal Statement and Interviews. You would get extra support such as mock interviews, Personal Statement redrafts and additional one-to-one tutoring hours.

How are my HAT tutoring sessions arranged?

You can book your tutoring sessions through your UniAdmissions Portal. The Portal is the central point of your Programme and will contain all of your HAT resources, seminar access and lots of useful information.

No other HAT tuition provider has a system close to the UniAdmissions Portal!

Who are your HAT tutors?

Every HAT tutor at UniAdmissions is carefully vetted by our team. You will only ever be matched with experienced, highly knowledgeable tutors who are truly experts in the HAT exam.

If you are ever unhappy with your tutor (an unlikely occurrence), then your dedicated Programme Manager will arrange a better-suited tutor for you.

Why shouldn't I just book an HAT course instead of a Programme?

The HAT cannot be prepared for adequately in a day or two. We’ve found, through years of research and preparing students for the HAT, that preparing over a longer period of time is a much more effective way of embedding the knowledge needed to perform on the day and ultimately score highly in the HAT.

I'm struggling in one area - Can I spend the whole session on it?

Absolutely, and we’d encourage you to do so.

Make sure you give your tutor enough notice (at least 5 days) for them to prepare the appropriate materials.
